Backtracking A Little

I know this is going backward in my life a little bit, but I just got the pictures, so here it is!
Debbie, my other mother, drove all the way up from Price on my last day of school to surprise me. They had to trick me by telling me I was over-booked and that they needed to squeeze another appointment in, so when I went to "discuss" the situation with the receptionist Debbie was there with flowers! These are the emotions I went through in 2.5 seconds: frustration, anger, disbelief, confusion, happiness, thankfulness, followed by hugs and tears! There are also pictures with Allison and me (the hot blonde) and Jana and me (the hot brunette).

Happy Anniversary to US!

We did it! We made it another year! This is #6 for us and I am super thankful for Tim and his endless amounts of patience he has with me! We had kind of a crazy day. I tried to make this super fancy cake that inculded sugar/water in a soft ball stage mixed with egg whites and all kinds of things I am not super skilled at. It didn't look anything like the picture, but it was pretty dang good! (Even if there were some tears shed in the process)

Then we went to the X-Men movie, but the internet told us the wrong time so we had an hour to kill, so I dressed up Tim at Kohl's! I was laughing so hard! Even though things didn't work out perfect like I wanted, Tim made me pee my pants, and told me he was just happy to be spending time with me...OHHH HOW SWEET!!! Thanks Timmy-poo, I love you!

Holy Cow, I know I know it's been a while!

Well...I have been crazy busy trying to finish school, and I finally did it! I tested out of Austin Kade, and then found out I got a 92 on my written, and 97 on my pratical for my state license! (Thanks Allison for an awesome education)! I went to Boise on my last day with some girls at AKA to help Studio D with their hair/fashion show. They were so good to us and we all had a great time! The pictures are with some of my very closest friends! I love them all and will miss them terribly!

Full Circle

There are a lot of instances in life when I can see I have come "full circle", and today I realized the closing of another one. I started out on a learning journey exactly one year ago yesterday, and will be nearing the end in about a month. It has been a bumpy, scary, exciting, rewarding, self-improving, humbling experience. Who knew hairstylists worked so hard? Who knew we were smart, motivated, caring people? Who knew we would snap each others last nerve right in two? (I kinda did) One journey ending, another beginning- I look forward to the hills and valleys. I am forever thankful for a supporting husband who pushed and pushed, with love. Who listened to my silly rants, who stayed home with me on my "mental health days", and who helped me realize a hidden talent.
"In the end it all comes down to this: you have a choice (or more accurately a rolling tangle of choices) between giving your work your best shot and risking that it will not make you happy, or not giving it you best shot- and thereby guaranteeing that it will not make you happy. It becomes a choice between certainty and uncertainty. And curiously, uncertainty is the comforting choice." -Art & Fear

Papa Anderson's Birthday!

Well, in case you haven't heard, my parents are actually grandparents, because they have a grandkitty named Morgan. So we respectful named them Nana, and Papa. It was my dad's birthday during conference weekend, and since Tim was in Salt Lake all week, I went to Logan! We had a little party at Hamilton's, and got a little crazy, but that's just what happens, when you eat 10lbs. of food, 3 hot chocolates and a strawberry cake with icecream!

More Pictures of Birthday Craziness

This really is how we act when we all get together. I even got the waitress' phone number for Travis! We had fun, and so did my dad, so that's all that matters!

We did it!!

Here are some random pictures of us getting ready for the hair show. I don't have any from the actual show yet because we were behind the scenes whole time, but I will post them as soon as I get them (and explain the show better)! It went really well, and I am very tired, and relieved, and sad, and happy! We thought our "Annie" segment would be the best (of course) but other groups from our school created AMAZING segments too. I was blown away at the talent we have at our little school in Idaho. I will be graduating in the middle of next month, and it will for sure be bitter-sweet.

Taylor Andrew's Hair Show

A couple of us from school went down to Salt Lake to watch the Taylor Andrew's hair show. It was pretty amazing! We are putting on our first annual Austin Kade Academy hair show this tuesday, April 7th. Tickets are only $10, and all proceeds go to the Idaho Falls Haven House. If anyone is interested it is at the Civic Auditorium at 7:00! The pictures from the show are a little crazy because they were taken from my cellphone, but here they are!

The Grossest Things Ever!

I exeperienced one of these TODAY, and it inspired me to write this list. These are the grossest things I have personally experienced:
1. Drinking hot chocolate with a layer of skin
2. Getting on a weight machine after an old man, only to find it warm and sweaty
3. Finding 2 month old cheesy broccoli soup in the back of the fridge
4. Walking in a dark room and stepping in cat puke
5. Giving someone a pedicure whose nails are 4" long, and skin is flaking off in my hands
*If you feel inspired, please let me know your grossest things ever* (I'm not going to tag anyone)

Che Che

Chelsea (my "little" sister) came to visit me last Friday. She pretty much uses me for my hair skills! NAH! I am happy to do it! I am glad she trusts me! Here she is with Kylee, Annie, Sophie (puppy). Soph is the cuttest dang thing I have ever seen! I am not a fan of little dogs, but I just want to squeeze her everytime I see her! She is sooo playful and snuggly!

This is the end result! She loved it, thank goodness! I would have cried if I would have messed up her beautiful long locks! Everyone wanted to touch her hair, it was pretty funny.

Very long and PATHETIC!! (Oh, but not my mom, just this post! Hehehe)

My mom came to visit me and take me out to eat before my root canal today after I complained to her all week. I know I am sounding very dramatic, but I had the worst tooth ache of my life, and woke up on Sunday with a swollen face. I went to the dentist and found out I needed a root canal...No problem! Wait! What? I have to wait a week to get it? And I need another crown? And if you readers remember I JUST GOT A CROWN! This is where I cried. I am such a baby! I went on pain killers and antibiotics (and had mild complications that only Annie and some close friends are allowed to know about). Also, the pain killers made me sick, and I would wake up in the night in pain and have to take more medicine, and then I couldn't get up to go to school! Hahahah...I know, how pathetic! The last couple of days were pretty much pain free because the antibiotics ate away some of the infection. I was sooooo happy to get the root canal, but I kind of have a funny/discusting story about it. So they start drilling up to my nose, and I smell somthing awful! I am pretty sure my dentist is farting! I was sooo grossed out, but after about 15 mins. of it not going away, I realized it was me!!! My infection they were draining smelled awful! Then I got super embarrassed, and a little nauseous. Mind you I even had nitrous and could smell it through my mask! I was just thankful that there are people on this earth that will put up with crap like that! On a good note, while my mom was here I gave her a deep facial at school for her Birthday (which is tomorrow). I loved it soooo much. I was so happy to do something relaxing for her because she helps me so much. She is such a wonderful mama! (We call her Nana now though, because of her grandkitten Morgan). We love you Nana!

Yea! My tooth is better!

After a rough little week I am all better! I truly am giving my biggest smile! Thank you mom for coming to visit me! I hope you had a good day, and I hope you have the bestest birthday ever!
