Neiman-Marcus Cookies?

So, the story goes, that a lady went into Neiman-Marcus and stopped by the cafe for one of their world famous cookies. Well, she asked the cashier if she could have the recipe, and the cashier said she could for "two-fifty", so she bought it. Long story short when she got the bill it was $250.00 not $2.50. When she called to try and give it back, and get her money back they wouldn't let her, so in her fury she sent out the recipe to everyone she knew. Now, I don't know if this story is true or not, or if me sharing this fabulous recipe is honest or not, but I made these cookies, and they are delicious! So, here it is:

1 c. butter

1 c. sugar

1 c. brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tea. vanilla

1 tblsp. hot water(I threw this in, I always use a little hot water to help incorporate ingredients)

2 cups flour

2 cups blended oatmeal

1 tea. baking soda

1 tea. baking powder

3/4 tea. salt

chopped/crushed walnuts

bag of chocolate chips

grated hershey bar

Blend oatmeal into a fine powder. Cream the butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Add hot water. Then, add oatmeal, flour, baking powder and soda and salt. Add chocolate chips, grated hershey bar, and walnuts. Roll into balls, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Enjoy!!
