Feeling Sentimental

I got a sweet letter from a friend, and it made me sentimental. So of course you all know that Isla-pants was a hard baby because I've probably complained about it umpteen times, but she is the BEST baby now! She is 4 months old now and I can't believe the difference! She finally likes to play on the floor with her toys and she'll even swing in her swing now! I love it! She sleeps 8 hours every night with only one 1-hour feeding between 2-4 AM! Wow! It's amazing! She is starting to laugh, and she sucks her bottom lip in and's hilarious! Anyhoo, I remember thinking this Brendan James song when it was 2 in the morning and we both hadn't slept more than an hour at a time in days. Things always felt better in the daylight. I wanted to post it in case there are any other hard babies out there:

The sun will rise, the sun will save me
From the night the sun will change me,
Change the way I feel.

I've had enough of the hard and harder
Times are tough, I've drifted farther
Farther from myself.

I won't dwell baby, on my failures
It won't help baby, it won't bring changes
I won't run baby, when all I want is to run
I won't forget the mornings sure to come.

...The love I want, the love I need is sure to come
it's sure to lead me, lead me home again.

Loved the lyrics! So, my friend gave me Cooper's name in wooden letters when he was born. She painted them blue and a yellow color. I put it up in his room and I remember being up in the middle of the night and looking up at his name and the lighter letters stood out and spelled COPE. I had to repeat that over and over. It's funny what we do to get by. That picture of you two is the cutest. Glad that things are going so much better!!
